The Theater Department delivers high-quality, cost-effective education led by a nationally acclaimed faculty of theater professionals and innovators. Situated in the heart of New York City - the world's theater capital - we serve as a premier professional training hub. Our program features a Master of Fine Arts in theater with concentrations available in acting, design and technical production, directing, or performing arts management. This 60-credit curriculum equips students for leadership roles and professional advancement in their chosen specialization, blending hands-on training with theoretical study and internships at prominent New York-area organizations.
a bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (B) on a 4.00 scale in your undergraduate major and a 2.70 overall Applicants must offer at least 18-21 credits or the equivalent in courses in one of the following: dance, fine arts, music, or theater. Applicants must submit an essay on professional goals. Applicants must be interviewed by the Theater Department.
