This program and specialization focus on students seeking expertise in research and teaching, particularly at the intersection of psychology and neuroscience. The training prepares graduates for careers involving academic research, instruction, or practical applications (such as neuroimaging or consulting). Note that this is not a path for Clinical Neuropsychology careers, which demand a clinical psychology degree and licensure. Clinical Neuropsychology is a specific concentration within the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program.

Qualification Requirements

While many APA programs currently prefer students to apply at the baccalaureate degree level, we welcome students with either a bachelors or masters degree.
Evidence of Bachelor's Degree and Transcripts.
Receive at least a 3.0 grade-point average in the cumulative undergraduate GPA from a regionally accredited university in the United States, or a comprehensive grade-point average of 3.0 from an equivalent university outside the United States.
IELTS - Overall minimum band score of 7.0 (consisting of minimum band scores of 6.0 in each module)
TOEFL (paper based test) - 580
TOEFL iBT (internet based test) - Minimum subscores of 22 (Speaking) and 21 (Listening, Reading, & Writing respectively) comprising an overall score at least 85.
