Brigham Young University's Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) program provides former BYU students who have taken a break from their studies and cannot return to campus with a chance to complete their degree remotely. To qualify, applicants need to have earned at least 30 credit hours as enrolled day students at BYU's Provo campus. Participants must follow the BYU Honor Code and obtain yearly ecclesiastical endorsements. Refer to Admission Requirements and About BYU Ecclesiastical Endorsements for details. Current BYU students with under 90 credits (excluding exam credits) are ineligible for this program.
This concentration suits students transitioning from Exercise Science, Public Health, and NDFS majors. A solid background in collegiate-level science and human physiology is strongly advised.
Fulfill 27 hours of on-campus coursework.
Complete at least 10 emphasis hours after official BGS program acceptance.
Thirty of the required 120 credits, including 15 in the emphasis area, must be upper-division (300-level or higher) courses.
Maintain minimum 2.0 GPAs in BYU coursework, overall studies, and emphasis courses.
