Admitted to a BYU teaching major (Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Physical Education Teacher Education, Special Education, or Secondary Education),
Fulfilled all university core and teaching major prerequisites except for student teaching, and
Achieved the required minimum grades and GPA for their specific teaching major (requirements vary based on admission date).
Complete at least 9 credit hours in the emphasis area after being formally accepted into the BGS program.
A minimum of 30 credits out of the required 120 must be upper-division (300-level or higher) courses.
