The Department of Political Science strives to deliver comprehensive education that enhances students' ability to examine political events, government operations, and their broader global and personal implications.
We employ diverse teaching approaches—from statistical analysis of data to historical institutional comparisons and critical examination of seminal texts—to cultivate these analytical skills. Our goal is to inspire students to actively participate in shaping their communities, governments, religious institutions, and global affairs.
Though our program isn't solely a liberal arts curriculum, professional preparation, or civic education, we transform politically engaged liberal arts students into knowledgeable graduates. These graduates emerge equipped to participate in societal matters, pursue advanced political science studies, or enter other professional fields.
