The Anthropology Department strives to provide students with a global anthropological viewpoint, examining human diversity through comprehensive, worldwide lenses while fostering appreciation for humanity's creativity and cultural richness.

To achieve this goal, the Anthropology program presents a wide array of courses exploring world cultures throughout history. The socio-cultural focus teaches contemporary anthropological methods and theories. Skills gained through either specialization will equip students to apply these principles across various professional fields.

Anthropology endeavors to chronicle the human experience across all cultures, both historical and contemporary. Anthropologists employ theoretical frameworks to guide their observations and organize findings. Through fieldwork techniques, they gather and document evidence of structured societies, examining both ancient civilizations (archaeology) and modern communities (socio-cultural anthropology).
