The connection between global health and conflict resolution continues to expand in importance. As nations face threats from natural disasters, disease outbreaks, environmental decline, armed conflicts, and refugee situations, demand grows for professionals skilled in both healthcare system development and conflict mediation. Heller's dual degree program combining an MS in Global Health and Policy Management with an MA in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence equips students with expertise in humanitarian response and crisis management, qualifying them for roles at organizations like the International Committee of the Red Cross that operate where health, development, and conflict intersect.
This program prepares students for frontline careers in health policy and conflict mediation, whether rebuilding healthcare infrastructure after wars, improving medical access for displaced populations, or enhancing health initiatives in communities affected by systemic inequities and violence. The GHPM program provides two specialization tracks: Health Systems or Health Economics and Analytics (STEM).
