This concentration teaches students to create and implement quantitative models for assessing operational and market risks involving interest rates, credit, currencies, and equities. The program also covers qualitative risk management techniques addressing organizational responses to operational risks, shifts in leadership and politics, corporate governance, fraud prevention, as well as strategic and reputational risks. While risk management careers traditionally focused on financial services, they now extend to numerous non-financial industries that actively manage currency, commodity, and interest rate exposures, along with various operational and business risks.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. or accredited international institution. Three-year degrees that are equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree will be considered for admission.
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended are required.
A current r'sum detailing educational and employment history is required. The MSF program does not require work experience.
Students should submit their most competitive application, which may include a GMAT or GRE score.
Two recommendations are required for this program. One recommendation should come from a professional contact (current supervisor, former supervisor, mentor, co-worker, client, etc.) and one recommendation should come from an academic contact (professor, academic advisor, thesis supervisor, dean, etc.).
Successful applicants typically have a TOEFL iBT score of at least 100, a TOEFL ITP score of at least 627, IELTS score of at least 7.0, Duolingo English Test score of at least 130 or PTE Academic score of at least 68.
