Our BA/BS-MAT dual degree program lets you obtain a master's degree and teaching certification for public elementary, secondary, or Jewish day schools by the summer following graduation. You'll graduate with lower debt and begin your teaching career earlier.

This program allows you to complete both undergraduate and graduate degrees in just 10 semesters at Brandeis. After applying during junior year fall, you'll start graduate courses the following summer and finish your MAT degree the summer after senior year.

Along with MAT classes, you'll undertake a year-long internship (18-21 hours weekly in fall, full-time in spring). All MAT candidates also complete an additional placement to explore different educational settings or pursue extra certification in moderate disabilities or ESL instruction.
