The East Asian Studies program provides comprehensive exposure to diverse historical viewpoints and modern issues concerning East Asian societies and cultures. Through courses offering instruction in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, you'll build essential skills for careers in government, academia, global affairs, business, media, commerce, finance, industry, legal fields, and diplomacy in today's world. Aimed at expanding, enriching, and synthesizing students' knowledge of East Asia, the program incorporates expertise from Brandeis faculty across social sciences like anthropology, economics, history, and political science, as well as humanities and creative arts including visual arts, music, and religious studies.
