The kinesiology and health science program equips students with the academic groundwork and professional skills necessary for graduate studies and physical therapy certification. First-year students in this major have the opportunity to secure early admission to Bradley's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Students develop comprehensive knowledge in health, wellness, and human physiology, preparing them for careers in physical therapy or related healthcare fields. Education goes beyond textbook learning and health-focused lectures, incorporating practical experiences through internships, research initiatives, and hands-on opportunities throughout Peoria.
Upon graduation, students gain:
Close academic relationships with faculty and peers in intimate class settings
Completion of a mandatory minor in disciplines like biology, health sciences, business, neuroscience, leadership, or other selected fields
Opportunities to present research at Bradley's annual academic symposium
Career growth and professional connections through campus groups including Wags For Mags, Health Science Organization, and the Alpha Epsilon Delta honors society
Practical experience via internships and course projects with partners such as OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Easter Seals Central Illinois
