Our music education curriculum equips you for the Illinois Professional Educator's License covering grades K-12. Starting your first year, you'll engage in classroom field work, with progressively advanced experiences during sophomore and junior years. These lead to a culminating student teaching placement in your senior year. Throughout this journey, you'll receive guidance from Bradley's faculty and supervising teachers. Simultaneously, you'll pursue a Bachelor of Music degree in music education through our department.
The Music Department holds accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Our teacher education program is recognized by both the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, while also maintaining membership in the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
