The cell and molecular biology concentration delves into cellular and molecular structures to provide insight into how organisms are built and function. You'll study this field intensively through coursework in cellular biology, microbiology, immunology, neurophysiology, or comparative physiology. Starting in your first year, classes teach research techniques that you'll later enhance via laboratory work, independent projects, and summer research programs.
Upon completing your degree, you may have gained:
Personalized guidance from professors specializing in cellular and molecular biology
Chances to present your findings at academic conferences and in publications
A culminating senior research project
Professional connections and growth through participation in Tri-Beta honor society and the Biology Undergraduate Student Association
