The Bachelor of Science in Public Health with an Environmental Health focus equips students for careers in environmental safety, sanitation, and hygiene. Professionals in this field investigate and address community health issues like air and water contamination, waste management, food safety concerns, water treatment systems, and disease-carrying pests. They also contribute significantly to emergency preparedness, particularly during natural disasters where safeguarding water and food resources is vital. Graduates will meet the qualifications to sit for the Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Sanitarian certification exam. Qualification Requirements
For admission to Bowling Green State University, a freshman applicant must:
Be a graduate of a senior high school approved or accredited by the department of education of the state in which it is located, OR
Have earned high school equivalency through the General Educational Development (GED) testing program (issued by the state department of education), OR
Present GED test results and ACT or SAT test results, if the student completed secondary education through an alternative program such as home schooling, OR
Present an international baccalaureate diploma or certificate.
Admission is selective. In general, we require a high school record that includes four units each of English and mathematics, three units each of science and social studies, two units of a foreign language, and one unit of visual or performing arts.
An applicant is considered for admission on the basis of four criteria:

Cumulative grade point average
Official ACT or SAT results
Class rank
You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment)
