The Bachelor of Fine Arts in creative writing delivers an intensive, well-rounded education in fiction and poetry composition within a dynamic literary environment. Distinguished faculty members, a weekly author reading series, an annual literary conference, and the chance to reside in the Arts Village collectively foster creativity and nurture innovative artistic projects.
Participants can additionally acquire hands-on editorial and publishing experience by contributing to Prairie Margins, our undergraduate literary publication, or Mid-American Review, BGSU's nationally recognized literary journal.

Qualification Requirements
For admission to Bowling Green State University, a freshman applicant must:
Be a graduate of a senior high school approved or accredited by the department of education of the state in which it is located, OR
Have earned high school equivalency through the General Educational Development (GED) testing program (issued by the state department of education), OR
Present GED test results and ACT or SAT test results, if the student completed secondary education through an alternative program such as home schooling, OR
Present an international baccalaureate diploma or certificate.
Admission is selective. In general, we require a high school record that includes four units each of English and mathematics, three units each of science and social studies, two units of a foreign language, and one unit of visual or performing arts.
An applicant is considered for admission on the basis of four criteria:
High school coursework/curriculum
Cumulative grade point average
Official ACT or SAT results
Class rank
You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment)
