Students in the Oral Health Sciences (OHS) program enroll in courses offered by both Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) and Graduate Medical Sciences (GMS) at the Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. The challenging graduate-level biomedical sciences curriculum, which incorporates first-year dental school courses (DMD-1), helps students cultivate crucial analytical and research capabilities. This program promotes a culture of excellence in professional conduct, ethical standards, and collaborative learning, preparing students for their future careers.
Completion of the MS degree requires four semesters. Most students finish the program within one calendar year, starting classes in late July and graduating the following July, eliminating the need for an extra gap year before dental school. Alongside dental studies, participants can explore diverse subjects such as public health, ethics, evidence-based dentistry, and research methodologies.
Full-time duration: 1 year
