The African Studies Center (ASC) provides a Graduate Certificate in African Studies. Post-baccalaureate students enrolled in any Boston University graduate or professional program can obtain this certificate by meeting the specified requirements alongside their degree program obligations. Since African Studies Certificate courses count toward degree requirements, no extra coursework is needed. This certificate enhances students' specialized education through a concentrated, interdisciplinary selection of Africa-focused courses.

Students in MAIA, MGP, and IR/MBA programs will find this certificate particularly accessible. While combining it with other Pardee degree programs is feasible, it may present scheduling challenges.
