The Molecular and Translational Medicine (MTM) graduate program at Boston University is a cross-disciplinary initiative housed within the Department of Medicine. This program aims to deliver cutting-edge academic instruction and research experience, preparing PhD and MD/PhD candidates to emerge as pioneers in clinical research.
The initiative focuses on developing research projects that leverage the extensive clinical resources, medical knowledge, and varied patient groups available through Boston University Medical Center. Graduates will acquire the necessary skills and comprehensive understanding of biological systems to effectively perform integrative translational research.
The Department of Medicine
Modern research facilities at Boston University Medical Center, including the Center for Advanced Biomedical Research and Evans Biomedical Research Center, house the Department of Medicine. These buildings offer advanced laboratory spaces in an airy, collaborative setting, complemented by specialized core facilities for computing, animal studies, genetic sequencing, microarray analysis, and more.
