Our department stands among few national institutions specializing in studying exposure-related health effects in community environments. Faculty collaborate with policymakers, community groups, and at-risk populations through local, national, and international initiatives. Our experienced faculty mentor students through research projects aligned with their academic interests, drawing from our department's expertise in conducting methodologically sound, innovative, and socially relevant studies. We prioritize creating inclusive learning environments for students from diverse backgrounds and maintain strong commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion within our department and throughout the environmental health discipline. Additional details about our diversity initiatives are available through our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee's website.
