The 36-month CAGS program focuses exclusively on earning a clinical certificate in Periodontology through three continuous years of hands-on clinical practice and academic coursework.
The initial year combines intensive classroom learning covering all aspects of minimal, moderate, and deep sedation techniques, along with clinical training to achieve competency in adult minimal, enteral, and moderate parenteral sedation. This year also includes foundational studies in clinical periodontology. The second year advances to moderate IV sedation techniques, implant-supported crown restoration, medical sciences related to periodontology, microsurgical procedures, treatment planning, and comprehensive implantology training. The final year emphasizes advanced surgical practice and supplemental academic instruction, with opportunities for student teaching and research involvement.
