The Performance program encompasses eight specialized areas: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Piano, Collaborative Piano, Organ, and Voice. Students in this major blend performance training with coursework in music theory, history, teaching methods, and related musical disciplines. Every participant receives personalized instruction from an assigned faculty member throughout their academic journey. For those interested in authentic period instruments or baroque techniques, the Historical Performance track provides specialized training.
Educational Objectives
Graduates earning a Bachelor of Music degree will develop:
