Finance examines how individuals and organizations acquire and trade assets. Grasping market dynamics and financial transaction terms within a global framework is fundamental to financial education. Finance students cultivate analytical abilities through core coursework focusing on business financial landscapes, corporate decision-making, essential investment and valuation concepts, and the growing international dimensions of financial evaluation, portfolio development, and trading.
Finance students work with live market data in the Trading Room at the Hughey Center for Financial Services, where they implement theoretical knowledge and digital tools for financial assessment, asset pricing, and risk mitigation. Diverse elective options enable specialization in areas like Financial Planning, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, and Sustainable Investing. The program encourages internship participation (paid or unpaid) and typically offers graduates numerous career paths in commercial banking, corporate finance, financial advisory, insurance, asset management, and beyond. A Finance degree equips students for management training programs at large corporations, financial institutions, insurance and planning firms, while also providing strong foundations for advanced studies in business, finance, law, and related fields.
Applicants must have a completion of Official secondary school transcript.
