Actuarial mathematics plays a key role in insurance, banking, and finance for assessing risks, setting product prices, and calculating necessary reserves. Bentley provides focused coursework to equip students for up to four Society of Actuaries professional exams while meeting the VEE criteria for both the Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society. Typically, undergraduates complete one or more internships, and the department keeps strong connections with alumni working in this profession.
Applicants must have a completion of Official secondary school transcript.
English language requirements
TOEFL: 233 computer-based, 577 paper-based or 90 Internet-based (score of 100 or better encouraged). We also require a minimum score of 20 on each of the TOEFL subsections. IELTS: 7, with a minimum score of 7 on each of the IELTS subsections.
