The M.A. Health Profession program accepts applications exclusively for summer enrollment (with the initial summer session typically starting around June 1). This intensive 12-month program mandates summer classes to fulfill all academic requirements for graduation by May of the subsequent year. Similar to other professional degrees like MBAs, participants don't receive stipends and must cover most or all of the 30 credit hours needed for the degree. Exceptional candidates might qualify for tuition assistance, offering between 5 to 20 credit hours of support. These scholarships are awarded based on merit and have limited availability. High-achieving students may also secure teaching assistant positions in health science courses (such as Anatomy and Physiology) when PhD student TAs are insufficient to staff all laboratory sections.
