Teaching middle schoolers—who are exploring their identities and future aspirations—makes every classroom experience dynamic. This program develops skilled educators who will receive a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with 4-8 grade certification in a chosen subject. Additional certification options include English as a Second Language.
Baylor's School of Education provides Teacher Education majors with an exceptional learning journey. Distinct from other programs, students gain seven semesters of practical classroom training. The curriculum progressively enhances teaching skills, with responsibilities growing each term. By their final year, students lead full-time instruction during both fall and spring semesters. Partnering with Waco-area schools, Baylor ensures Teacher Education majors gain valuable real-world teaching experience.
