Ball State's master's program in counseling provides an adaptable yet rigorous curriculum designed to equip you for a career as a skilled counseling professional committed to assisting individuals and promoting social justice. This program features two specialization tracks: clinical mental health counseling or rehabilitation counseling. Within the rehabilitation concentration, you'll develop expertise in improving psychosocial well-being, cultivating independent living abilities, and expanding career prospects for individuals with diverse disabilities and chronic health challenges. The program includes a mandatory supervised internship in a rehabilitation environment guided by a certified rehabilitation counselor.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for admission in the Ball State Graduate School, you must have a bachelor's degree or higher from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association. Some doctoral and specialist degree programs (but not all) require a master's degree from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association.
