Select from specialized tracks in public relations, interpersonal dynamics, or corporate communication—each pathway equipping you for advanced studies or diverse professional opportunities across industries like business, government, political sectors, nonprofit organizations, or media fields. All communication studies majors are required to complete 21 credits of foundational courses covering debate techniques, interpersonal dynamics, cross-cultural communication, influence strategies, public speaking, and theoretical frameworks. Students must enroll in COMM 201 during their initial semester within the department before selecting one of three focus areas: public, interpersonal, or organizational communication.
