Earning a bachelor's degree in music performance gives you rigorous training within a supportive community of accomplished faculty members with extensive performance and teaching backgrounds. Our program equips you with practical knowledge and abilities to thrive in today's competitive music industry. You'll engage with faculty through weekly one-on-one lessons and group studio classes while gaining hands-on experience performing diverse repertoire in acclaimed ensembles. Visiting artists lead enriching masterclasses, workshops, and lectures, and Concerto Competition winners earn the opportunity to solo with the Ball State Symphony Orchestra. Beyond weekly recital performances, you'll present complete recitals during both your junior and senior years.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
