As a Sports Production student, you can select between two specialized tracks: Sports Link or Esports. Both programs train students in content creation from planning to final production, utilizing professional-grade tools, techniques, and facilities. During your first year, you can enroll in Media courses while gaining hands-on experience through production student groups or the Sports Link and Esports extracurricular programs.
Sports Link students combine academic learning with practical opportunities to produce unique content for Ball State Athletics, such as live game coverage, pre- and post-game programs, documentary features, social media materials, and additional projects. The Sports Link program stands out as the only Media concentration requiring a separate application beyond Ball State admission. Applications are due by March 1, though we recommend submitting yours soon after university acceptance. Find detailed information about the Sports Link application requirements here under Admission.
