As a Sports Production student, you can select between two specialized tracks: Sports Link or Esports. Both programs train students in content creation across all production phases, utilizing professional-grade equipment, facilities, and industry best practices. During your first year, you'll have opportunities to enroll in Media courses, join production-focused student groups, or participate in Sports Link and Esports co-curricular activities to gain hands-on experience with equipment.
Sports Link students develop unique content for Ball State Athletics through a combination of academic studies and co-curricular projects. Their work includes live game broadcasts, pre- and post-game programming, documentary films of varying lengths, and digital media for social platforms. Among Media concentrations, Sports Link stands out by requiring an additional application beyond standard university admission. While the deadline for Sports Link applications is March 1, we recommend submitting yours promptly after receiving your Ball State acceptance.
