Ball State's economics program equips you for diverse, challenging careers in business, government, nonprofits, education, law, finance, and beyond. You'll gain deep insights into economic systems and their dynamics during shifting conditions. Our rigorous curriculum offers small classes led by dedicated faculty, an active economics student organization, internship placements, practical experiences like the Federal Reserve Challenge, and specialized learning through the John H. Schnatter Institute for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise and the Center for Business and Economic Research. The business concentration delivers exceptional preparation for economics students targeting careers in finance, management, marketing, and related fields, while also serving as excellent MBA preparation. Alongside economics coursework, this track requires completion of Miller College of Business core requirements and essential business classes.
