The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) in Dance program helps you deepen your understanding of dance while exploring diverse subjects in a rigorous liberal arts setting. You'll study topics like physical conditioning, creative composition, performance production, spontaneous movement, instruction methods, technical skills, and global dance traditions. Our faculty collaborates with you to tailor your academic journey, blending dance with your other interests and enabling you to pursue double majors or additional minors. The curriculum covers creative movement, composition, cultural dance forms, academic dance studies, physical training, body mechanics, teaching methods, and performance staging. Your senior year features a customized culminating project that aligns your dance enthusiasm with your professional aspirations. As an exclusively undergraduate program, we emphasize career readiness, supporting you as you build a professional portfolio to bridge academic life and your future career. Alumni pursue diverse paths, working as dance instructors, academic researchers, movement creators, therapeutic dance specialists, studio directors, arts educators, wellness coaches, and healthcare practitioners.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
