Ball State's accounting bachelor's program offers a comprehensive education covering core accounting principles alongside essential business disciplines like economics, finance, and management. The curriculum focuses on hands-on learning experiences, personalized instruction from dedicated professors, and seamless transition opportunities into professional roles or advanced studies. The degree structure comprises four key components: general education requirements, foundational business courses, specialized accounting classes, and elective options. Students initially enroll as pre-business majors before formally applying to the accounting program. While many associate accounting with CPA certification, graduates find success across diverse sectors - from corporate leadership roles and government agency positions to meaningful careers in nonprofit organizations.
