Auburn University's graduate program in cybersecurity engineering (MS-CYBE) equips students with skills to assess, create, examine, secure, and safeguard organizational cyber infrastructures. This program emphasizes the engineering and technical dimensions of cybersecurity, catering to both working professionals and academic researchers through its mandatory capstone requirement.

Students can complete the Cybersecurity Engineering graduate degree through full-time on-campus study, via the Engineering Online Graduate Program, or a hybrid approach. Online learners should be aware that MATH 6180 (Cryptography) is exclusively offered on campus and cannot be counted among their cybersecurity-focused electives.

Graduates earning the MS-CYBE degree automatically qualify for the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity's Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) certification.
