The Master of Science in Chemical Engineering focuses on engineering design and practical applications. Students will explore specialized areas such as surface science, biochemical processes, catalytic reactions, pulp and paper technology, environmental solutions, waste transformation, computer-assisted process modeling, innovative bioseparation methods, chemical reaction dynamics, and reactor development. Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical engineering from an accredited institution (official transcripts needed).
Strong undergraduate coursework in physics, calculus, differential equations, chemistry, and related fields is essential.

Those who hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical engineering from an institution of recognized standing (transcripts required) are eligible.
You have significant undergraduate experience in related areas of general physics, calculus, differential equations, chemistry, etc.

The TOEFL or IELTS will be the only accepted language proficiency tests for admission to Auburn University Graduate School. We do not accept the Duolingo English Test.
Successful international applicants must score at least 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper version (pBT), 213 on the computer version (cBT), and 79 on the internet version (iBT). Additionally, successful applicants must score minimums of 16 on the listening, reading, speaking, and writing components of the iBT. Auburn University's ETS institution code is 1005. Auburn will also accept a 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
