Auburn University now offers a new degree program starting fall 2019, enabling students to address pressing societal issues through nonprofit and philanthropic careers. The Bachelor of Science in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies provides comprehensive training in both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills for effective charitable work. Through coursework, students will master financial strategies for sustaining philanthropic initiatives and managing nonprofit organizations. The curriculum covers diverse topics such as: charitable giving in college settings, nonprofit management, portfolio creation, legal aspects of nonprofits, and the intersection of gender, wealth, and philanthropy. Beyond academics, the program incorporates internship placements and experiential learning to reinforce classroom concepts. This holistic educational approach aligns with CHS's commitment to developing informed, engaged community leaders.
