The Adult Development program equips students to serve or support individuals aged 21 and older. Participants will explore developmental shifts during adulthood and examine how gender and cultural factors shape personal experiences and interpersonal dynamics. The curriculum also provides foundational training in creating programs. Potential focus areas encompass parenting support, career advancement, work-life balance, mental health resources, corporate environments, and senior initiatives. Through internships, students can develop skills applicable to diverse fields including adult social work, crisis intervention facilities, domestic violence shelters, employment training programs, HR departments, nonprofit fundraising, addiction recovery services, and senior engagement programs.
