The artificial intelligence specialization is one of four focus areas within the interdisciplinary MS program in robotics and autonomous systems, highlighting robotics, control systems, autonomous technologies, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines. This track is ideal for students seeking to concentrate on artificial intelligence and computer science applications.
Participants gain comprehensive theoretical and hands-on training across various subjects that support the examination of intelligent agents—any robotic system capable of sensing its surroundings and executing actions to optimize its success in reaching objectives. Consequently, students in this specialization explore cutting-edge AI subjects, such as statistical machine learning, computer vision, natural language understanding, knowledge acquisition and logical reasoning, and structured planning methodologies. Unlike other specializations, the AI track places greater emphasis on the computational algorithms central to robotics.
