Plants play a vital role in sustaining Earth's ecosystems. This collaborative program between ASU and the Desert Botanical Garden cultivates the next generation of plant scientists and environmental specialists by developing their analytical abilities and social awareness to address pressing issues like climate change, food shortages, and declining biodiversity. The Master's program in plant biology and conservation offers comprehensive education in diverse areas including molecular plant science, biotechnological applications, genomic studies, fossil plant research, ecological systems, evolutionary processes, plant classification, and conservation principles.
Participants gain hands-on experience by collaborating with academic staff and research teams from both ASU and the nearby Desert Botanical Garden, situated close to ASU's Tempe location.
