For over three decades, the Indian Legal Program (ILP) at Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law has developed into one of the country's premier Indian law programs. Located in the Southwest region with strong ties to Arizona's 22 tribes and indigenous communities nationwide, ILP offers an ideal setting for students pursuing studies in the evolving field of Indian law. Our distinguished faculty includes nationally renowned scholars who contribute groundbreaking research, publish influential works, and engage in community service.
ASU Law boasts one of the nation's largest populations of Native American and Indian law students, supported by an energetic Native American Law Students Association that organizes events, engages in pro bono work, and provides mentorship. Students gain immediate access to a supportive network for academic, career, and personal growth. ILP graduates are creating meaningful change across Indian Country through work with tribal governments, public service roles, private practice, and nonprofit organizations. The program's outstanding reputation stems significantly from the achievements and ongoing contributions of its alumni.
