Public health involves safeguarding communities and populations from illness while enhancing overall wellbeing. The Bachelor of Science in Public Health curriculum trains students by covering the five core disciplines: epidemiology, environmental health, health administration, biostatistics, and health promotion/education.
This degree equips graduates with foundational competencies for various entry-level positions in public health institutions, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations, or for pursuing advanced degrees in public or community health. Students gain hands-on experience through required internships in public health settings.
The BS in Public Health complements several certificate programs including Health Education Specialist, Healthcare Policy and Delivery, and Hospice/Palliative Care - all available through the College of Health Solutions.
