The BSLA program at The Design School is an accredited bachelor's degree that equips students with the expertise required for a career in landscape architecture. Using the Phoenix metropolitan region as an immersive classroom, the program enables students to collaborate on real-world initiatives aimed at creating sustainable outdoor spaces that enhance both ecological balance and community well-being.
Student projects in landscape architecture span from expansive urban design, ecological restoration, open space conservation, and community development to smaller-scale endeavors like neighborhood parks or residential gardens. Current areas of exploration include innovative placemaking, environmental justice, vertical gardens, healing spaces, eco-conscious design, and urban climate solutions.
Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the Landscape Architect in Training exam, the first step toward professional licensure.
This Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture holds accreditation from the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board.
