The growing focus on autonomous aircraft technology and operations in military and civilian domains marks a new phase in the aeronautical field, centered on self-piloting vehicles and systems. The BSE program in aerospace engineering, specializing in autonomous vehicle systems, equips graduates with essential aerospace engineering competencies along with expertise tailored to unmanned aerial vehicles and systems.
The program is designed to give students a broad understanding of autonomous aircraft engineering, supplemented by specialized courses in a key area of the field. Students can choose from tracks in guidance, navigation and control, or communications.
Every course sequence in this concentration meets the accreditation standards for aerospace engineering.
You’re considered a first-year student if you graduated from a regionally accredited high school or earned your GED, and you never attended college or have fewer than 12 transferable college credit hours.
First-year students must have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school.
English proficiency
TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) - the minimum score is 61 (iBT)
TOEFL pBT (paper-based test) - minimum score is 57
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - The overall band score requirement for the academic test is at least 6.0.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) - ASU requires a score of at least 53.
Duolingo English test - minimum score of 95.
