The Bachelor of Arts in social and cultural analysis with a peace studies focus presents an innovative, cross-disciplinary approach to critically examining peace concepts. While primarily grounded in humanities perspectives, the program also incorporates other viewpoints, exploring peace in relation to key societal factors like gender, racial identity, cultural background, and belief systems.

Participants gain exposure to diverse peace philosophies and methodologies, covering areas such as conflict prevention strategies, nonviolent activism, reconciliation processes, and peacebuilding frameworks. This curriculum draws upon faculty knowledge across multiple disciplines including historical studies, language analysis, literary criticism, moral philosophy, sociological research, cultural studies, and feminist theory.

First-year students must-
Have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A=4.00) from a secondary school. Some ASU programs may have higher admission or English proficiency requirements and may consider a minimum ACT or SAT score.
Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 911 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10-12 grade coursework.)
Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.

TOEFL iBT - minimum score is 61.
