The Bachelor of Arts in history emphasizes American history while incorporating studies in European, Latin American, and worldwide historical contexts. Faculty specialize in diverse areas including technological and scientific history, biographical studies, societal impacts of warfare, public history, aviation history, environmental studies, and related disciplines.
The program teaches historical research methodologies and examines societal evolution through social, cultural, and political lenses. Through capstone projects and specialized research courses, students develop practical skills in historical analysis and narrative construction. A minimum of 12 upper-level credit hours in HST courses from the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts is required.
