The History BA program offers students a comprehensive exploration of historical periods ranging from ancient civilizations to contemporary times, spanning regions from Europe to Latin America and the United States.

Beyond studying the roots and evolution of diverse cultures, ideologies, and social structures throughout time, students actively participate in historical scholarship by developing research skills, evaluating primary sources, and constructing arguments using various historiographical frameworks and analytical methods.

This degree program qualifies for the Western Undergraduate Exchange initiative at the West campus location. Eligible students from Western states who choose this major at this campus may qualify for reduced out-of-state tuition, set at 150% of Arizona resident rates plus mandatory fees

First-year students must-
Have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a B or better where A=4.00) from a secondary school. Some ASU programs may have higher admission or English proficiency requirements and may consider a minimum ACT or SAT score.
Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 911 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10-12 grade coursework.)
Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
IELTS - minimum score 6.0
TOEFL iBT - minimum score is 61.
