The Bachelor of Arts in English emphasizes literature, composition, cinema studies, and cultural analysis.
The curriculum explores diverse literary forms, historical eras, and cultural movements. Learners develop analytical abilities through intensive textual study while enhancing their writing proficiency for various contexts and readerships. The program culminates in a capstone experience where students apply their expertise to an individualized scholarly or artistic endeavor.

Degree requirements include completing at least 12 upper-level credit hours in English courses within the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts.
This program qualifies for the Western Undergraduate Exchange initiative at the Polytechnic campus. Eligible students from participating western states may receive discounted nonresident tuition at 1.5 times Arizona's resident rate, plus fees. Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 911 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10-12 grade coursework.)
Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
