Anthropology explores the essence of humanity across its widest spectrum.

The BA in anthropology equips students to identify and address modern global challenges through a comprehensive grasp of human societies. Collaborating with distinguished professors, students participate as research assistants on academic projects. The program also provides practical learning experiences via international study opportunities and fieldwork schools.

This multidisciplinary curriculum covers key anthropological fields such as archaeology, bioarchaeology, sociocultural studies, and evolutionary anthropology.

Program participants cannot simultaneously pursue a BS in anthropology or a BA in global health, though they may supplement their studies with a global health minor. The BA in anthropology focuses on societal, cultural, and archaeological aspects, whereas the BS caters to students drawn to scientific and mathematical approaches.
