Humanity thrives when peace prevails. Studies demonstrate that nonviolent approaches to change yield more lasting and impactful results than aggressive measures. Today, peacebuilding extends far beyond governmental efforts, with communities and individuals playing increasingly vital roles. IPCR leads the way in pioneering research and practical applications for conflict resolution and peace promotion. Faculty and students frequently collaborate on initiatives that positively impact at-risk populations.
The IPCR curriculum consists of 39 graduate-level credits plus a culminating project, achievable within two years for full-time students or up to six years for part-time enrollment. What sets this program apart is its wide-ranging course offerings, spanning topics from artistic therapies in post-conflict recovery to confronting historical trauma and combating radicalization in unstable regions.
This demanding academic program blends teachings from distinguished experts, hands-on internship experiences, and skill development essential for peacebuilding careers. While establishing robust theoretical knowledge, IPCR students gain practical expertise in conflict resolution, mediation techniques, restorative justice processes, and intercultural dialogue strategies.
