American University provides students with the chance to pursue combined undergraduate and graduate studies through its accelerated dual-degree programs. Eligible undergraduates can count up to 3 credits toward their graduate requirements for every 9 credits needed for the master's degree, counting for both programs simultaneously. The graduate department will evaluate whether completed undergraduate courses meet the master's program criteria. Participants must complete a minimum of 18 graduate-level credit hours on campus after obtaining their bachelor's degree and maintain uninterrupted enrollment between both programs.
This initiative enables qualified candidates to simultaneously earn a BA in Anthropology and an MA in Public Anthropology.
